Freedom Run

Event Date and Time:
•The I’m Safe Freedom Run will flag off on 13th Aug starting at 6am.
•Please arrive at the venue at least one hour before the start time to ensure you have enough time to check in, warm up.

Event Venue:
•Counters for t-shirts and bibs will open at the venue (Island grounds) from 4:30 AM onwards.
•Make sure to bring a photo ID and your registration confirmation email for a smooth registration process.

Clothing and Gear:
•Dress in comfortable, moisture-wicking clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
•Don’t forget to wear your assigned bib number on your shirt.
•Proper running shoes are essential for a comfortable race experience.

Course Map and Markings:
•The marathon route will be marked with clear signage and direction indicators.
•A detailed course map is available on our website www.imsafe.app/run

Hydration and Nutrition:

•Our energy partner FastnUp and hydration partner Bailey will be present at the running course to assist you if needed.
•If you have specific dietary preferences or requirements, it’s recommended to carry your own nutrition.

Medical Support:
•Medical stations will be strategically located throughout the Marathon pathway.
•Medical personnel from healthcare partners, Sooriya Hospital will be available to assist you in case of any emergencies.
•If you have a pre-existing medical condition, consider wearing a medical ID bracelet.

Finish Line Festivities:
•Celebrate your achievement at the finish line area where you’ll receive your finisher’s medal and have access to post-race refreshments.
•Friends and family are welcome to join in the festivities!
